Polar Bear

The largest bear and the largest land carnivore lives in the Arctic, and adult males weigh 300–800 kg. Under its white or yellowish fur, the polar bear has black skin and a thick layer of fat, and its large paws help it walk on ice and swim. It feeds mainly on seals, which it ambushes on the ice.
