Preajba–Făcăi Lakes

Preajba-Făcăi lakes form a protected natural area in Dolj county, on the outskirts of Craiova and on the territory of Malu Mare and Cârcea communes. The waters are placed in steps on the Preajba Valley and are fed by springs. The banks of reeds, cattails and willows shelter birds and other wetland animals.

The complex was declared a protected area in 2000. Here coots, ducks, egrets and water turtles can be observed without disturbing them. Access is on the nearby communal and agricultural roads; the official sheet states that there are no organized themed trails around the lakes.
