Princely Court and Saint John Church in Vaslui

Vaslui, Vaslui

The ruins of the Princely Court in Vaslui and the Church of Saint John the Baptist form a single historical ensemble. Archaeological excavations have found here several construction stages of the court, starting from the time of Alexander the Good.

The church was built by Stephen the Great in 1490, the year recorded in the inscription. The stone and brick walls have under the eaves rows of niches and discs of colored ceramics, and the traces of the court can be seen in the same visit.
