Princely Court in Piatra Neamț

Piatra Neamț, Neamț

The Princely Court stands in the center of Piatra Neamț, Neamț County. The complex dates from the reign of Stephen the Great and includes the church built in 1497–1498, the bell tower and the remains of the residence. The monuments occupy a terrace near the city's central square.

The Church of the Nativity of Saint John the Baptist preserves glazed ceramic decoration and windows with stone frames. The nearby tower dominates the rooftops of the center. The ruins of the cellars and the fragments of the enclosure wall show how large the old court was, and the museum rooms display finds and information about the history of the site.
