Reformed Church in Făgăraș

Făgăraș, Brașov

The reformed church in Făgăraș is located on Unirii boulevard and dates from 1712-1715. The construction followed the destruction of an older church of the community. At the entrance, two columns from that church are preserved, integrated into the new building. The tower and the main facade rise above the street front of the historic center.

The interior is known for its carved stone pulpit and organ, mentioned in the local heritage presentation. The simple appearance of the hall highlights these pieces and the organization of the space for reformed worship. The church belongs to the reformed community from Făgăraș; a visit inside must be correlated with the services and with the possibility of opening the place by the administrator.
