Resurrection of the Lord Cathedral in Caransebeș

The Orthodox Cathedral of the Resurrection of the Lord in Caransebeș is the church of the Diocese of Caransebeș, re-established in 1994. The foundation stone was laid in 1996, and the cathedral was finished in the spring of 2010 and consecrated on September 12, 2010.
The idea of a new cathedral belonged to Patriarch Miron Cristea, who was a bishop here between 1910 and 1919. The bells were cast by the Hörz company in Ulm, Germany.
