Roman Bath at Hotel Roman

Băile Herculane, Caraș-Severin

The Roman Bath is located in the Roman Hotel complex in Băile Herculane, on Romană street. The space maintains the connection with the thermal springs used in this part of the Cerna Valley and with the spa facilities restored in the Habsburg era. The bas-relief of Hercules is one of the distinctive elements of the bath, along with the vaults and the basin arranged inside.

The building visible today underwent several restorations before being incorporated into the modern hotel. The name of the bath recalls the ancient tradition of the place, without the entire interior being a Roman construction preserved intact. The hotel operator includes access to this bath in its offer; check the access arrangements at reception, because the space is part of the spa complex.
