Romanați Museum in Caracal
Caracal, Olt
The Romanați Museum presents the history of the former Romanați County. The exhibition has eight rooms, in a house from the second half of the nineteenth century that belonged to Iancu N. Dobruneanu. The facade has columns with decorated capitals and neoclassical pediments.
The collections come mostly from the excavations at Romula, Slăveni and Fărcașele: Neolithic vessels and figurines from the Vădastra culture, flint tools, oil lamps, inscriptions, statuettes and Roman coins.
