Romulus Vuia Ethnographic Park

Cluj-Napoca, Cluj

The Romulus Vuia Ethnographic Park is located in the Hoia area of Cluj-Napoca, Cluj county. Established in 1929, it is the open-air section of the Ethnographic Museum of Transylvania. Households, workshops and technical installations from several regions of Transylvania were moved and rebuilt here.

Among the exhibits are houses with porches, barns, gates, mills and workshops that show how wood, wool and agricultural products were processed. The wooden churches of Cizer, Petrindu and Chiraleș preserve elements of rural religious architecture. The households are grouped according to ethnographic areas, and the rooms are furnished with furniture, textiles and tools from the villages of origin.
