Saint Anne Roman Catholic Church in Vișeu de Sus

Vișeu de Sus, Maramureș

The Roman Catholic Church of St. Anne in Vișeu de Sus was started in the nineteenth century and finished in 1907. It was consecrated only in 1912, after the altar ordered at the Stuflesser workshop arrived.

The church was one of the centers of the German community of the Zipser Germans, along with the German school in the city. The cemetery of the Zipser Germans near the church dates from the beginning of the nineteenth century.
