Saint Nicholas Church in Hunedoara

Hunedoara, Hunedoara

The Church of Saint Nicholas in Hunedoara preserves part of the city's medieval history, near Corvin Castle. The stone church was built in the fifteenth century, and its present form reflects alterations made over several periods. The tower at the entrance, the light-colored walls and the roofs of different heights can be seen from the churchyard.

Inside, the old murals survive, and the rooms still show traces of the building's alterations. The church is in active use, so visitors should respect the services and follow the parish's instructions.
