Saint Paraskeva Wooden Church in Rogoz

Rogoz, Târgu Lăpuș, Maramureș

The wooden church of Saint Paraschiva in Rogoz dates from the end of the seventeenth century. It was brought in 1883 from the village of Suciu de Sus and is the second wooden church in Rogoz, next to the Church of the Holy Archangels, included in the UNESCO heritage.

The doors to the nave and narthex have frames cut in the shape of a double brace, and the stone of the altar is from 1695. The current painting is from 1940, but the icons are older. It is a historical monument.
