Saint Spyridon Church in Berevoiești
Berevoiești, Vălenii de Munte, Prahova
The Church of Saint Spiridon stands in the Berevoiești neighborhood of Vălenii de Munte, on the oldest road in the town, the old route used to drive sheep to the mountains. It is a historical monument of national importance.
Near the church stands a stone cross from 1726, which, Nicolae Iorga wrote, proves that there was a church here as early as the eighteenth century. Today’s church is a plastered wooden building, with a wooden tower above the entrance.
