Saints Peter and Paul Roman Catholic Church in Bacău

Bacău, Bacău

The Roman Catholic Church of Saints Peter and Paul in Bacău is also known as the Catholic cathedral, due to its size. The works began in June 1990, and the consecration took place on November 20, 2005. The church belongs to the Parish of Sfântul Nicolae and is located on Ana Ipătescu street, near the historic Catholic church of the same parish.

The construction combines classical elements with modern solutions and is about 52 meters long and 44 meters wide. The height reaches 77 meters, measured up to the cross. The tower and high roofs dominate the complex, and the interior is intended for the celebrations of the Roman Catholic community. The new church and the old church of Saint Nicholas are two different buildings, built more than a century apart.
