Salzburg is a city in Austria, situated on the Salzach River, at the edge of the Alps. The Hohensalzburg Fortress, the cathedral and the Mirabell Gardens make up some of its iconic sights. The old baroque center and places connected to Mozart retain its distinct musical identity and historical charm.
