Shaft I Complex in Anina
Anina, Caraș-Severin
The Shaft I complex in Anina preserves the headframe, steam winding-engine house, lamp house and workshops of one of the deepest coal mines in central and eastern Europe, 1,200 meters deep.
The headframe was raised and rotated 90 degrees from its original position. The ensemble is a historical monument and can be seen from the city.
