Shetland Sheepdog
United Kingdom (Scotland)
The Shetland Sheepdog (or Sheltie) is a small herding dog with long fur, originating from the Shetland Islands of Scotland. The FCI standard describes it as a working dog of great beauty, attentive, gentle, intelligent, strong and active, affectionate with its owner, reserved with strangers and never nervous. Wikipedia says that although it resembles a miniature Collie, it is not only derived from it.
