When Shrek and Princess Fiona return from their honeymoon, her parents invite them to visit the kingdom of Far Far Away to celebrate the wedding. For Shrek, whose loyal friend Donkey never leaves his side, this is a major event. Fiona's parents did not expect their son-in-law to look like this, much less their daughter to have changed so much. It all disrupts the king's plans for the kingdom's future. Then the Machiavellian Fairy Godmother, her arrogant son Prince Charming and a very special cat, Puss in Boots, an expert ogre hunter, enter the picture.
