Sion Neolog Synagogue
Oradea, Bihor
The Sion Neolog Synagogue is located on Independenței street in Oradea, in Bihor county, on the banks of Crișului Repede. Built between 1877 and 1878, the building was designed by David Busch and realized under the coordination of Kálmán Rimanóczy senior. The large dome and high windows are the landmarks of the exterior.
The interior preserves decorative painting, galleries and the place intended for the Torah scrolls. Above it is the organ. After the restoration, the synagogue was introduced to the tourist and cultural circuit of the city and hosts concerts, exhibitions and other events, along with visits dedicated to its architecture.
