Skopelos

In 2007, scenes from Mamma Mia! were filmed on Skopelos in the Northern Sporades, including the wedding procession at the Agios Ioannis chapel near Glossa. The island covers 96 km², slightly more than Mykonos, and has two mountains over 500 m, Delphi and Palouki. According to legend, it was founded by Staphylos, son of the god Dionysus and the Cretan princess Ariadne.
