Sloughi
Morocco
The Sloughi (Arabian or Berber sighthound) is a North African short-haired sighthound bred for centuries to hunt rabbits, foxes, jackals, gazelles and wild boar. The FCI standard says that today most Sloughis live in Morocco, which is responsible for the standard. It describes the dog as noble and aloof, but very attached to his master, whom he defends when needed; a hardy hunter who also likes the comfort of home.
