Sócrates

Sócrates was a Brazilian midfielder appreciated for his game intelligence, inventive passing and powerful shots. He established himself at Corinthians and captained Brazil at the 1982 World Cup. Although he was tall, he controlled the ball with finesse and combined quickly with the forwards. The passes with the heel and the calmness with which he found spaces between opponents remained among the hallmarks of his game.
