Spa Casino in Vatra Dornei
The Spa Casino in Vatra Dornei, known today as Dornelor Palace, was built between 1896 and 1898 according to the design of the Viennese architect Peter Paul Brang. Inaugurated in 1899, the pavilion brought together spaces for conversation, music, a restaurant and a cafe, intended for guests of the resort. The monumental building is located on Republicii street, near the spa park.
After restoration, the building was reopened on November 28, 2023 as the Băilor Casino Museum Center. The visit brings together the architecture of the restored halls and exhibitions about the history of Bucovina and the resort, alongside art presentations and documentary collections. The concert hall still hosts cultural events. The themes and exhibited works change, and the center has its own circuit of visits inside.
