Stephen the Great County Museum in Vaslui

Vaslui, Vaslui

The Stephen the Great County Museum in Vaslui was established in 1974, and the permanent exhibition was redesigned in 2018. The route starts with the painted ceramics and statuettes of the Cucuteni culture and continues with medieval objects, coins and documents.

A diorama shows the battle of Vaslui in 1475, in which Stephen the Great defeated the Ottoman army. The ethnography rooms present folk costumes and tools of craftsmen, and the last part includes modern and contemporary Romanian artworks.
