Strasbourg is a city in eastern France, close to the border with Germany, in the historic region of Alsace. The Gothic cathedral and the Petite France district, with its traditional houses and canals, are its well-known landmarks. The bridges, squares and streets of the old center reflect the meeting of French and German cultural influences.
