Surduc Lake

Lake Surduc, located entirely in Fârdea commune, Timiș county, is a reservoir created in the area of the hills on the edge of the Poiana Ruscă Mountains. The reservoir regulates and supplements the flow of the Bega River, contributing to the water supply of Timișoara and the upstream area.

Its irregular banks form bays and stretches of shore surrounded by forests and hills. Near the water are villages, holiday homes and recreational areas. The popular name comes from the village of Surducu Mic, located on the road between the reservoir and the town of Traian Vuia.
