Suzana Monastery
The Suzana Monastery is located on the Teleajen valley, in the village of Mânăstirea Suzana in Măneciu commune, Prahova county. Its origins are linked to a foundation from 1740, and today's large church was built between 1880 and 1882, after the replacement of older churches.
The church preserves the painting made by Petre Nicolau, apprentice of Gheorghe Tattarescu, restored in the twentieth century. The courtyard is surrounded by the buildings of the nuns' community, with galleries and porches. The church towers and the wooded hills that enclose the valley make up the characteristic view of the monastery in Prahova.
