Tarisznyás Márton Museum in Gheorgheni
Gheorgheni, Harghita
The Tarisznyás Márton Museum operates in Casa Vertán in Gheorgheni, a baroque building built between 1770 and 1778. The collection began in the 1950s, and in 1962 it was moved to this building.
Since 1992, the museum has been named after the historian Tarisznyás Márton (1927–1980), who led it until the end of his life. The exhibitions include ethnographic objects from the Giurgeu area, minerals and art.
