The movie "Taxi Driver" 1976

Taxi Driver is the study of an alarmingly plausible character, Travis Bickle, a Vietnam War veteran who suffers from insomnia and spends his nights driving a taxi through the streets of New York. What we see of the city is shown through his taxi's windshield. The film is a feverish, paranoid portrait of the dangers of contemporary life. Scorsese depicts New York through unforgettable, desolate images: steaming sewers, rain-soaked streets and glaring neon lights that together create a vision of hell on earth.
