What do you do when a legendary mobster (Robert De Niro) gives you a task you cannot refuse? That is the situation facing Jack (John Cusack), a tough guy struggling financially after a run of bad luck. The famous Dragna hires him for a mission as simple as it is unusual: Jack must wait for him in a remote place alongside some shady characters. Meeting the beautiful Rivka that same evening does not seem to improve matters, for the night will have extreme consequences for everyone involved.
