The TV show "The Last Ship"

Based on William Brinkley's novel, The Last Ship focuses on the crew of the U.S.S. Nathan James, led by Captain Tom Chandler. On a mission among the ice of the North Pole, Chandler will soon realize why one of the directives was the lack of any contact with the rest of the world: a killer virus is decimating hundreds of millions of people around the globe, and the laboratory improvised on Chandler's ship by civilian virologists Rachel Scott (Rhona Mitra) and Quincy Tophet (Sam Spruell) may be the only chance for finding a cure.
