The Tibetan Mastiff (Do-Khyi) is a giant, ancient dog of the Himalayan nomads and traditional guardian of Tibetan monasteries. The FCI standard describes him as independent, protective, commanding respect, very loyal to his family and territory, a strong, heavy, solemn dog that matures slowly.
