Tibetan Terrier

Tibet (China)
The Tibetan Terrier is a medium-sized, robust and shaggy dog originating in Tibet. The FCI standard says that, despite the name, it is not a terrier, but a herding dog, also used as a guard for merchants on the way to China, and describes it as lively, kind-hearted, loyal, open, attentive and intelligent, neither fierce nor quarrelsome, but stingy with affection towards strangers.
