Cheile Tișiței is located near Lepșa, in Tulnici commune, Vrancea county, in the Putna–Vrancea Natural Park. The Tișița Stream dug a narrow valley between the peaks of Tisaru and Râpa Caprei, with rock walls, wooded slopes and areas where the water flows between boulders.
The path mostly follows the old route of a forestry railway, whose construction left tunnels and sections cut into the rock. The valley is protected for its relief and for the forests that cover the slopes. Among the landmarks of the route are the narrow passages by the water and the entrances to the old tunnels.
