Tivoli Lake in Sovata
Lake Tivoli is an artificial lake in Sovata, Mureș county, set up on the Criș–Toplița stream, at the foot of Cireșelu Mountain. It was created in 1975–1976, with the role of recreation and regulation of the water reaching Lake Ursu. The connection between the two lakes led, over time, to interventions on the Tivoli basin, to protect the balance of the resort's salt lake.
In the years 2010–2011, the area went through rehabilitation works: the bottom of the lake was leveled, and the recreational facilities were restored on the shore. The lake is surrounded by forest and can be reached by the road that starts from near Lake Ursu. In the summer season, you can go boating and pedal boating on the lake.
