Tokophobia

Fear of childbirth
A strong fear of childbirth, called tokophobia, leads some women to request an elective cesarean section. They fear pain, unexpected problems or that the baby could be injured. The name comes from the Greek tokos, “childbirth”, and it can be treated through counseling.
