Tornjak

Bosnia and Herzegovina, Croatia

The Tornjak is a large and powerful mountain dog from Bosnia and Herzegovina and Croatia, used to guard flocks and yards. It is a breed recreated from the almost extinct descendants of the old shepherd dogs of the area. AKC describes him as balanced, friendly, brave, obedient, intelligent, full of dignity, fierce in guarding what is entrusted to him, impossible to bribe and devoted to the master.
