Traian Square in Brăila
Piața Traian is one of the landmarks of the historic center of Brăila, a space where the old buildings and the surrounding streets make up an easy route to follow on foot. The public clock, the fountain and the statuary group dedicated to the emperor Trajan mark the part laid out as a garden. Around are cultural institutions and buildings with facades that are worth looking at one by one, without hurrying.
A walk through the square can start with the landmarks in the green space and continue along the contour, to see the whole from different angles. The blue clock and Trajan's monument provide landmarks, while the surrounding facades show the city's development in the nineteenth century. The Maria Filotti Theater and the Church of the Holy Archangels are two nearby stops, with their own access.
