Transylvanian Hound
Romania (Transylvania)
The Transylvanian hound (Erdélyi kopó) is an old hound from Transylvania, black with reddish markings and a red spot above each eye. The FCI standard, under the patronage of Hungary, describes it as kind-hearted, brave and hardy, calm and balanced, but determined and lively, able to hunt alone, even far from the owner, with a resounding, sharp and sonorous bark.
