Turtle

A turtle's shell is made mostly of bone and forms from ribs that grow sideways and join into broad plates. There are about 360 species, including recently extinct ones, on almost every continent, and sea turtles live across much of the ocean. All of them breathe air and do not lay their eggs underwater, although many live in or near water.
