Union Square in Timișoara

Piața Unirii in Timișoara is in the center of the Cetate neighborhood and preserves the main baroque buildings of the city. Built during the Habsburg administration, the square is bordered by the Roman Catholic Cathedral, the Serbian Orthodox Cathedral, the Baroque Palace and historic houses with colorful facades.

In the middle stands the Holy Trinity Monument, and next to it is the mineral water fountain. Brück House brings the architectural decoration of the early twentieth century to the square. The current name was given in 1919; the pedestrian pavement and building fronts open views to the old streets that start from the square.
