Văcărești Nature Park

Văcărești Nature Park is located in the southeast of Bucharest, between Calea Văcărești, Șoseaua Olteniței and Splaiul Dâmboviței. The area occupies the basin of an unfinished water-management project. Inside the dikes, ponds, reedbeds and meadows have formed, and many bird species have settled there.
The wetland lies right next to residential blocks of flats, which makes the place easy to recognize. Dikes and paths divide areas with different vegetation. Birdwatching and observing the changing landscape must follow the rules of the protected natural area.
