Vadu Crișului Cave
The Vadu Crișului cave is located in Bihor county, in the Crișului Repede gorge, between Șuncuiuș and Vadu Crișului. It was discovered in 1903 and set up for visiting at the beginning of the twentieth century. A stream of water runs through the galleries and forms a waterfall after exiting the cave.
Stalactites, stalagmites and other limestone deposits can be seen in the sector equipped for visitors. Some formations have been given names, including the White Eagle and Adam and Eve. The cave also houses species adapted to underground life. The visit is with a guide and by appointment, according to the rules of the Țării Crișurilor Museum, the custodian of the cave.
