Vasile Fati Botanical Garden

Jibou, Sălaj

The "Vasile Fati" Botanical Garden in Jibou, Sălaj county, was founded in 1968, in the old park of the Wesselényi castle. The initiative of biology teacher Vasile Fati started as a study base for students and became a research center with collections of plants from several regions of the world.

The routes pass through sectors with ornamental trees and flowers, through the Japanese garden and past the rose garden. The greenhouse complex houses tropical and subtropical plants, and aquariums complete the collections. The rounded shapes of the greenhouses stand out above the paths and flower beds in the park.
