Vasile Pârvan Museum
The "Vasile Pârvan" museum in Bârlad, Vaslui county, brings together collections of archaeology, history, art and natural sciences. Founded in 1914, the museum occupies several historic buildings of the city, including the former palace of the Tutova County Prefecture, used as its main headquarters.
The collections include prehistoric figurines and vessels, coin hoards, jewelry, documents, painting and decorative art. The donations added furniture, porcelain and objects related to Bârlad personalities. The astronomy section includes an observatory and a planetarium, developing a direction to present the natural sciences alongside the historical and artistic heritage of the museum.
