Vatra Dornei Băi Railway Station

The Vatra Dornei Băi station is located on Dornelor street, close to the resort park and the casino. Inaugurated in 1910, the building is a historical monument and stands out for its corner turret, high roofs and decorative woodwork. The pediment and details of the facade can be viewed from the square in front of the station.

The station was designed to bring travelers closer to the spa area. It is distinct from Vatra Dornei Station, previously opened in another part of the city. The building retains its railway function, with public spaces for passengers and a platform. A memorial plaque at the station commemorates the deportation of the Jews from the Dornelor region, adding to the history of transport the memory of a painful episode of the local community.
