Wooden Church in Borșa din Jos
Borșa, Maramureș
The wooden church of the Holy Archangels in the lower part of the town of Borșa dates back to 1700. It was rebuilt after the Tatar invasion of 1717, which damaged the earlier church.
There were two wooden churches in Borșa, but only this one has been preserved. It has a tall tower with a pointed roof, and the church itself is covered with shingles. It is a historic monument.
