Wrocław is situated on the Oder River in western Poland, in an area with numerous islands and bridges. The central square and the Gothic town hall are in the old town, and Ostrów Tumski preserves some of the oldest buildings in the city. Centennial Hall adds an important landmark of modern architecture.
