Zănoaga Gorge

Access through Cheile Zănoagei is affected by the breaking of a bridge in August 2026; reopening is not confirmed. The gorges are located in the Ialomița Valley, in the Bucegi Mountains, on the territory of Moroeni commune in Dâmbovița county. The water carved a passage between the limestone walls, with cliffs, rock steps and shaded sections of forest. The gorges are part of the Bucegi Natural Park and are located between the Bolboci area and the Scropoasa basin.

The thematic route between Lake Scropoasa and Zănoaga passes through the gorges. The Salvamont Dâmbovița warning regarding the bridge remains relevant at the October 2026 check, in the absence of a reopening confirmation. The route must be avoided until the repair is confirmed, and the damaged bridge must not be crossed.
