Zoo in Bârlad

Bârlad Zoo is located on Republicii Boulevard, in the Public Garden area, and has its own visiting circuit. It was established in 1959, initially as a small municipal animal collection. The layout includes shelters and outdoor spaces for animals, connected by walkways that lead visitors through the animal collection.

Mammals and birds from native and exotic fauna are presented, alongside pavilions for reptiles and exotic birds. The information panels and displays also support the zoo’s educational role, with information on the biology and distribution of species. The animals present and the accessible areas may change, so check the visiting conditions with the operator before traveling.
